IMPORTANT ACTION REQUIRED

Dear Customer, as part of our on-going development and hardware upgrades your account is due to be upgraded overnight between 28/29th June.

Your action IS required. Please read this email in full.

We will begin synchronising ALL customer accounts (including emails, databases, web files and cPanel settings) from 22:00 hrs on 28th June 2017, and we expect the process to complete by 06:00hrs 29th June. Sometime during the above window your account on the existing server will be suspended, and our DNS Clustering will begin directing traffic to your new server.

Whilst your individual cPanel account is being moved, any changes made to databases on the existing server will be lost. Although this is usually only a small window of a few minutes, we recommend that any critical transactional websites, (e.g. e-commerce, forums, CRM systems) are put into maintenance mode overnight to prevent loss of information. You will not lose any email.

This critical upgrade will require that you adjust your email software settings and/or domain DNS settings, so please read the following carefully.

Email Software Settings

All login usernames and passwords remain unchanged but you/we MUST update your mail client settings on move day (Doing so before WILL break your email!)

Your new Incoming (POP3/IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) server name, if set to cloud5.mycpanelcloud.co.uk or IP Address, MUST be changed to oxygen.cloudhosting.co.uk

For improved security mail will require that SSL/TLS is enabled for Incoming POP3 and outgoing SMTP connections. If this is disabled you won't be able to collect email on the new server.  Please note that if you're currently using your domain name as the mail server (mail.yourdomain.co.uk) then no change is needed although if you don’t have an SSL certificate for your domain(s),  switching to SSL/TLS won’t work so our advice would be to change incoming and outgoing mail server hostnames to oxygen.cloudhosting.co.uk and tick SSL/TLS on 29th June.

Domain DNS Settings

Your new server has a different IP address to your current one which will now be 77.72.0.102.  If your nameservers are set to ours then you don’t need to do anything.  These are…

ns3.nextlevelhosting.net
ns4.nextlevelhosting.net

If you manage your domain elsewhere or are using other nameservers simply change the nameservers to ns3.nextlevelhosting.net + ns4.nextlevelhosting.net to facilitate a smooth move.

If you are using third-party DNS nameservers and don't want to use our nameservers for whatever reason, then you will manually need to update any DNS records which point to 31.216.48.56 >>> 77.72.0.102 AFTER the move on 29th June 2017 (You will be able to tell when the move has completed as your cPanel account will be suspended on the existing server). This needs to be done via your domain registrar e.g 123-reg, GoDaddy etc.

Third party connectivity

If you use any payment processing or external services that requires whitelisting the servers connecting/outbound IP (eg : Sagepay, WorldPay) then 77.72.0.102 should also be added now to facilitate uninterrupted service.

If you have any specific questions regarding this work, please contact support.

Best wishes,
